Welcome to my new class website. I hope you take the time to check out each page. I will be including upcoming events, spelling words, vocabulary words, monthly projects, etc. I will be updating the website instead of sending out the weekly emails. Dear Parents,
I am doing something new the second half of the year. We are no longer going to start a reading story/spelling lesson on Monday and test on Friday. I do not believe this is benefiting your children especially with days off, early release, etc. We need more time to model, practice, and reinforce the skills of the week. Therefore, we will take 6 days to complete a reading story/spelling skill. For example, we started the story about planets and the spelling skill consonant blends on Monday, 11/1. We will not be testing on that story and spelling skill until Tuesday, 11/9. Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the pacing of our reading/spelling.
